In short
Three full-service banks (Banque de Polynésie, Banque de Tahiti, Socredo) and two payment institutions (Marara Paiement, a subsidiary of the OPT, and Niupay, fully digital) serve individuals. The fees below come from the official report by the IEOM, which compares the same services for all. An agreement signed on February 13, 2026 makes the online banking subscription free and freezes about twenty fees for three years.
